BIOGRAPHY

Diego Chiri is a bilingual actor and stage director originally from Lima, Peru and currently living in New York City. He graduated from Bucknell University with a concentration in directing for the stage. He's also been trained at the Moment Work Conservatory with Tectonic Theater Project and a Directing Roundtable with Peter Brook and Marie-Hélène Estienne at the  Brooklyn Academy of Music. In New York City he has directed in several off-Broadway theaters, including  Repertorio Español (Spanish Reperory Theatre), INTAR Theatre, Pregones Theater, IATI Theater, Teatro Círculo, Symphony Space, among others. Diego Chiri is an alumnus of the the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation’s Observership Program and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He has received the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship, the CCP Foundation Scholarship, and the Van Lier Fellowship. In addition, his theatrical work in NYC has received several HOLA, ACE, ATI and FUERZA Awards. Diego Chiri is a Resident Director at Corezon Theater.
